WOW! I can’t believe it has been a year since I made my first post on Substack. In the past year, I have posted every weekday except for national holidays, totaling 260 posts. This journaling helps me stay up to date on current events and think clearer. But I believe the biggest benefit has yet to come. In 10 years, when I look back on all the posts I made in the past year, I will be able to see how the world has changed and how I have changed.
I plan to continue this public journaling but I will take a few breaks during the year when I am on the road traveling. In the past two weeks, I have been spending time in Taipei. It is a very different world from the San Francisco Bay Area. It’s hard to describe but I feel it’s less politically charged here. Taiwan has its own two-party partisan politics but it doesn’t seep through the air as much as what we experience in San Francisco or California or America. I want to get out of my silicon valley bubble more so I don’t get stuck and hopefully this will make my journaling more interesting going forward.
Your pace is truly impressive. I always read your posts thinking to myself, "I wonder how she does it?"
