S/X delivery to production gap was rather interesting.

It does sound like they need to make use of the superfactory capacity they built or they will lose even more money. So discounts are inevitable. But customers are unhappy about the price fluctuations. The X I bought last year is now priced $20,000 less new with the exact same spec.

For sure. They said on call I believe that they want to compete with ICE.

Model 3 is priced at 39,900-4k gov subside.

Honda civic at 28.50 so they probably need to get their model 3 price down to 34-36k or so (30-32k with subside) to gain ice market share. This puts operating income around 0
